Funding for Plattsburgh International Airpor
Elise announced over $13 million in funding for Plattsburgh International Airport to reconstruct & rehabilitate a runway. Our local airports are a major source of revenue for NY-21, and Elise will continue to support these important development projects.
Passing the Helping Emergency Responders Overcome Act
Elise helped pass legislation to fund wellness programs within fire departments, emergency medical services agencies, and health care providers to help support the wellbeing of our first responders.
Emergency Rural Community Relief Act
Elise cosponsored the Emergency Rural Community Relief Act, which will expand the USDA’s Community Facilities program to allow rural communities to utilize the grants during an emergency situation. This will allow rural communities in the North Country to purchase vehicles, equipment, or services needed for the safe operation of essential community facilities during an emergency.
Stronger Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act
Elise co-led the Stronger Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act, which provides support for the victims of abuse and improves the process to ensure that our communities have the resources they need to prevent these incredible tragedies.
Federal Funding for Essex Fire Department
Elise helped secure over $45,000 in FEMA Assistance to Firefighters Grants for the Essex Fire Department to replace damaged or outdated gear. This funding will help ensure that our firefighters have the resources they need to do their jobs safely and effectively.
