The House passed a pair of bills this week designed to boost transparency in prescription drug purchasing. The two bills approved on Tuesday ban the existing agreements between pharmacies and industry middlemen known as “gag clauses” that prohibit pharmacists from telling patients how they can save money while purchasing prescriptions.
