GLENS FALLS, NY– Congresswoman Elise Stefanik released the following statement after Joe Biden visited Poughkeepsie, New York, the hometown of her Far-Left Downstate Democrat Opponent:
“Under Joe Biden and House Democrats’ reckless tax-and-spend policies, families across New York and America are suffering. Biden’s Far Left policies have plunged our economy into a recession, stolen wages from our workers, and destroyed our seniors’ retirement savings. Due to Democrats in Washington and Albany’s war on American energy and failed Green New Deal agenda, every family in New York will have the most expensive winter in over a decade.
Hardworking families in New York can no longer afford one-party rule in Washington and Albany.
Joe Biden has made our communities less safe by allowing violent crime on our streets, incentivizing deadly fentanyl to pour over the southern border and into our communities, and announcing a national gun ban during a crime crisis.
In my opponent’s own Downstate hometown, Joe Biden IGNORED HIM. Even Sleepy Joe knows this Far Left Democrat from Poughkeepsie has no shot at winning, and my opponent continues to try and hide that he has never lived in or voted in Upstate New York before he carpetbagged TWICE to run for Congress.
Despite my opponent’s desperate attempt at masquerading as a moderate, New Yorkers see through the fact that he is a rubber stamp for Biden’s Far Left gun-grabbing, tax-hiking, Green New Deal agenda.
He is out of touch with the values of Upstate New York and the North Country.
New Yorkers are smart. They will not forget Joe Biden’s record of failures and will reject one-Party Democrat rule this November.
