NEW YORK POST: New York Gov. Kathy Hochul was booed multiple times at the 2025 Ryder Cup on Long Island Wednesday – and even a joke from talk show host Carson Daly couldn’t quell the jeers. Golf fans attending the opening ceremony ahead of the US’s matchup against Europe unleashed on the Democratic leader as she walked on stage at the Bethpage State Park in Farmingdale, according to social media footage. “You’re the worst,” one attendee shouted.

FOX NEWS: New York Gov. Kathy Hochul was booed while attending the Ryder Cup opening ceremonies on Wednesday at Bethpage Black on Long Island. NBC broadcaster Carson Daly was announcing the guests in attendance for the ceremony. As he revealed the Democratic governor was in attendance, loud boos were heard on the broadcast. The telecast showed some people around Hochul clapping as she waved an American flag. One person was heard shouting, “Get outta here Kathy!”

DAILY MAIL: New York Governor Kathy Hochul was met with loud boos from the crowd during the opening ceremony of the Ryder Cup on Thursday. The Democrat governor – a vocal critic of Donald Trump – was shown on screen during a welcome speech at the event at Bethpage Black on Long Island. But as she was introduced, large sections of the crowd responded with audible jeers. ‘Your friend and mine, Governor Kathy Hochul,’ said host Carson Daly, who stood on stage while a camera cut to Hochul in the crowd. ‘Governor, thank you for being here. And thank you to your team too for getting us ready for the Ryder Cup in New York.’

OUTKICK: New York Gov. Kathy Hochul attended the opening ceremony of the Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black on Wednesday afternoon. But it might not have been the best decision, judging by the crowd’s reaction. Event host Carson Daly brought Hochul onto the stage, where she was met with a chorus of boos and jeers. Daly tried to calm the crowd by telling them to “relax,” but to no avail. According to the New York Times, Hochul left the stage quickly after and Daly joked “that went well.” This wasn’t the only time that golf fans unloaded on Hochul during the event. Even the mere mention of her name at the beginning drew boos and one man yelling, “Get outta here, Kathy!”

THE DAILY CALLER: Needless to say, New Yorkers aren’t fans of Kathy Hochul. The governor of New York was booed a whopping four different times during the opening ceremony of the 2025 Ryder Cup, which took place Wednesday on Long Island. Hell, host Carson Daly even tried to crack a joke in an attempt to get fans to stop. Yeah, didn’t work. Per footage from social media, golf fans who were in attendance at the opening ceremony prior to the United States’ squareoff against Europe absolutely erupted on the Democratic governor as she walked across the Bethpage State Park stage in Farmingdale. “You’re the worst,” said one person in attendance.

THE GUARDIAN: Turns out that European is only the second-worst thing you can be at Bethpage this week. Luke Donald and his team may have been booed at the opening ceremony on Wednesday, but the reception they got from the tens of thousands of liquored-up golf fans who had hung around to watch was a warm welcome compared to the one they gave New York state’s governor, the Democrat Kathy Hochul, who was jeered so loudly that her short speech was just about drowned out. Donald should maybe think about bringing her in as a last‑minute vice-captain, just to draw the fire away from his team. “Relax everybody, she’s not Roger Goodell,” said the master of ceremonies, Carson Daly, referencing the unpopular NFL commissioner. It didn’t help. “What should everyone coming here for the first time know about New York?” he asked Hochul. (“She has no idea! She lives in Albany!” bellowed a man standing nearby, “Get her outta here!” roared another.) Hochul, a rictus grin fixed on her face, said something about how “we have the most friendly people you will ever meet” and was immediately shouted down by the locals. “That went well,” Daly said, deadpan, after Hochul beat a retreat from the stage.

DAILY EXPRESS: New York Governor Kathy Hochul faced a chorus of boos during the opening ceremony of the Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black. The event was set to kick off the much-anticipated face-off between Team USA and Europe, but it wasn’t the visiting team that received the frostiest welcome from the Long Island audience. Instead, it was Democrat Gov. Hochul who was met with a wave of disapproval from the crowd. Despite the negative reaction, the 67-year-old governor maintained her composure, waving an American flag as she was introduced by event host Carson Daly.

POLITICO: “Hochul was drowned out by boos at the Ryder Cup golf tournament on Long Island, and Rep. Elise Stefanik reveled in her misfortune.”
