Congresswoman Elise Stefanik (R – 21st District) continues to wait to announce whether or not she will run for New York State Governor.
While being quoted in media reports from early July saying “it’s not if, but when,” Stefanik said in a news release Wednesday, “I will make a final decision and announcement after this year’s November election which we are all focused on.”
Stefanik started hinting about running for Governor after losing her bid to be President Trump’s Ambassador to the United Nations.
Meanwhile, Rep. Mike Lawler, (R – 17th District) announced this week he will seek reelection to Congress instead of running for NY Governor.
