On President Trump’s Overwhelming Victory: “This was a historic victory, and of course, what a huge victory this morning for President Trump to win the popular vote and sweep these electoral college swing states. He overperformed in Blue states like New York. Why? Because his message of securing the border, of bringing law and order, of pushing back on Democrats’ failed defund the police policies, and talking about the economy and the crushing inflation hurting families. That resonated in blue states like New York who are experiencing single party Democrat rule. And on top of that, President Trump campaigned in New York. The mainstream media attacked him for doing so. But whether it was his Madison Garden rally, whether it was his events in the Bronx, or on Long Island, that was a way to reach out to voters that, frankly, the Democrats feel they are entitled to, and yet they don’t earn their vote. So this was a big night for New York: the strongest performance for a Republican presidential candidate since Ronald Reagan in the state of New York.”
On President Trump Helping Republicans Down Ballot: “You know, it did. And Democrats really brought out all the stops to attack Republicans. They tried to illegally gerrymander the districts. We fought back successfully in that. They wanted to pick up five to seven seats. We were able to keep that number as low as possible. And President Trump has strong coattails. In the case of Mike Lawler’s district and Nick LaLota’s district, those are hard fought districts with excellent candidates with President Trump at the top of the ticket. That was key to holding these races and really to seeing this surging of support whether it was in Queens, The Bronx, President Trump over performed.”
On President Trump’s Policies Delivering for Women: “Well, he won and over performed among all Americans. And there was a very strong Women for Trump coalition that the media would never take seriously, but so many of us were out crisscrossing the country campaigning. My message was talking about his effective policies when it came to historic opportunity for women in the workforce during his first term. You had more women working than ever before, the highest wage and salary growth, the highest number of women small business owners ever, affordable childcare, increased accessibility of childcare. You know, so many of these policies delivered for women. And yet Democrats want to consistently play demographic politics and try to cater to what they think demographics need to hear. No. Our message is America First for all Americans, and President Trump’s leadership resonated.”
On President Trump Focusing on Issues that Matter to American Families: “You know what President Trump had was the American people, hardworking families. And I think the days of celebrity endorsements that the Left has relied on for so long, it just encapsulates how out of touch their policies are. Their policies do not support working class Americans which is what President Trump’s message is focused on. Working class Americans are feeling the brunt of Kamala economics which has failed us, whether it’s the inflation crisis, whether it’s increases in energy costs, or the wide open border. So real people supported President Trump, and that’s what he highlighted at the convention. That’s what he highlighted throughout his campaign. He also highlighted business leaders, visionary leaders like Elon Musk, who are pushing back on the status quo of failed bureaucracy and ensuring that we can reach the absolute highest of heights when it comes to American ingenuity.” |
