SARATOGA, NY – Today, the National Border Patrol Council once again endorsed Congresswoman Elise Stefanik for re-election to Congress. The National Border Patrol Council represents 18,000 Border Patrol Agents under the Department of Homeland Security.
National Border Patrol Council (NBPC) President Paul Perez stated:
“House Republican Conference Chair Elise Stefanik is precisely the leader our country needs. She has brought national attention to the crisis at the Northern Border. She has also led the charge to end the crisis created by the Biden-Harris Administration. She opposes radical policies that have exposed our communities to increased violent crime, fentanyl overdoses, and human trafficking.
As Co-Chair of the Northern Border Caucus, she has consistently demonstrated her commitment to safeguarding her district. She has also pushed critical legislation, like H.R. 2494 to deport immigrants who assault law enforcement officers and H.R. 8734 mandating DHS pay attention to threats at the Northern Border.”
Local 2266 President Sean Walsh from the Swanton Sector of the Northern Border covering St. Lawrence, Franklin, Clinton, Essex, and Hamilton counties in NY-21 stated:
“Congresswoman Stefanik understands the serious threats and challenges that the men and women of the NBPC face every day while protecting both local communities and the nation from the unprecedented rise in illegal crossings, especially since NY-21 covers 150 miles of the Northern Border.
Elise has been a champion for border security. No one has been a better voice for Upstate New York and North Country families, the NBPC, and all law enforcement.”
Local 2724 President Brandon Budlong from the Buffalo Sector of the Northern Border covering Jefferson, Lewis, Herkimer and Oneida counties in NY-21 stated:
“As a NY-21 resident and Local Union president for a district along the Northern Border, I know that no one fights harder for Upstate New York and the North Country than Elise Stefanik. She has always advocated for the men and women of the NBPC to have the resources they need to protect border communities. She has continued to work tirelessly on our behalf, demanded
answers from the Biden-Harris Administration on the Northern Border staffing crisis, and co-sponsored key legislation to protect our communities from the border crisis.
It is critical to have Elise in Congress advocating for our families and the communities we protect. I was honored to join Elise at this year’s State of the Union address, and I resoundingly offer my endorsement for her re-election.”
House Republican Conference Chair Elise Stefanik stated:
“I am proud to have once again earned the endorsement of the National Border Patrol Council. I am grateful for the support of their 18,000 members as I continue working to secure the resources Border Patrol Agents need to keep our communities safe.
Kamala Harris is the open border czar who has overseen the worst border crisis in American history. Under her watch, over 10 million immigrants have illegally crossed our border, fueling human trafficking, rape, murder, and the flow of deadly drugs like fentanyl into our communities. I have visited the Northern Border and seen firsthand the challenges our agents face every day. As the Co-Chair of the Northern Border Caucus, I will continue to lead against Harris and Far Left Democrats’ dangerous open-border policies and work to provide our brave Border Patrol agents with all the resources they need.”
