To the Editor:

The Republican Caucus of the St. Lawrence County Legislature would like to endorse our friend and advocate in the U.S. House of Representatives, Congresswoman Elise Stefanik for reelection.

Many of us have known Elise for over a decade since she began her career.

Over those years, we have watched with pride as she has fought for our region in Washington, standing up for our interests and earning a well-deserved reputation as one of our nation’s leading voices for rural America. Whether she’s fighting for Fort Drum, border security, lower taxes, our dairy industry or bringing common sense to the federal bureaucracy, Elise has become a respected, national leader who stands up for the people of our 21st Congressional District.

As New York State’s Senior Republican in our congressional delegation and the House of Representatives GOP Caucus Chair, she has moved up the ranks into the top leadership in our nation’s capital.

As a leader in Congress, she is uniquely positioned to fight for the needs of St. Lawrence County, one of the largest counties east of the Mississippi.

Over her 10-years of public service, we have worked closely with her and her staff who are always available when we need help in Washington.

We appreciate everything Elise has done for our constituents and the sacrifices she has made on our behalf. We urge the people of St. Lawrence County and Northern New York to join us in voting to reelect her in November.

This letter was submitted on behalf of the St. Lawrence County Republican caucus which includes James E. Reagen, District 1, Rick Perkins, District 7, David Forsythe, District 2, Benjamin Hull, District 8, Joseph Lightfoot, District 3, Glenn Webster, District 11, William Sheridan, District 4, John Gennett, District 13, Harry Smithers, District 5, Rita Curran, District 15, Larry Denesha, District 6.
