MONTGOMERY COUNTY, NY – Today, 58 Montgomery County elected officials including Republicans, Conservatives, Democrats, and Independents endorsed Congresswoman Elise Stefanik for re-election to Congress. Congresswoman Stefanik has earned endorsements from every town represented in NY-21 and tied her record from last cycle despite representing fewer municipalities.
“I am pleased to offer my wholehearted endorsement of Congresswoman Elise Stefanik. As the Sheriff of Montgomery County, I have witnessed firsthand the impact of strong, principled leadership on our community and beyond. Congresswoman Stefanik has consistently demonstrated a commitment to the values that matter most to our citizens, including public safety, local economic development, and community support. Her dedication to addressing the needs of law enforcement agencies and her efforts to enhance the safety and well-being of our communities are truly commendable. Congresswoman Stefanik’s collaborative approach and unwavering focus on practical solutions have proven invaluable in driving meaningful change,” stated Sheriff Jeff Smith. “I confidently support Elise Stefanik and encourage others to do the same, as her leadership will undoubtedly continue to benefit our communities and our country.”
“As a former Federal Marshal and career law enforcement officer, I appreciate how Elise Stefanik has always been outspoken in support of our law enforcement and military communities throughout the years. As a Town Supervisor, I’m confident in referring constituents to the Congresswoman’s office for assistance because I know her staff are going to respond and work diligently to resolve the issue,” Canajoharie Town Supervisor Pete Vroman said.
“I just changed my affiliation to Republican after being a lifelong Democrat because the actions and policies of the Democratic party are failing the people of Montgomery County. I’m impressed with Congresswoman Stefanik and how she always puts her constituents and their needs first,” stated Rosalie Farina Glen Town Council. “I’m happy to endorse her and support her re-election.”
“I am honored and humbled to have the backing of 58 local elected officials from Montgomery County for my re-election campaign,” said Congresswoman Stefanik.“I am proud to have worked with local leaders to ensure the hardworking families of Montgomery County receive the important resources needed to prosper in Upstate New York. I look forward to collaborating with these leaders as we earn another historic victory this November, work to save America, and deliver real results to the families, small business owners, seniors, and veterans of Upstate New York and the North Country.”
