SARATOGA, NY – Potsdam Town Supervisor Marty Miller, a Democrat, has endorsed House Republican Chairwoman Elise Stefanik for re-election in New York’s 21st Congressional District.

Miller released the following statement:

“As the Supervisor of Potsdam, I look for strong leadership like that in Elise Stefanik. Elise is a great representative for our district who delivers for her constituents. I am happy to endorse her.”

The endorsement comes following Chairwoman Stefanik’s call for Potsdam Town Board Member Christine Paige to resign over her disgraceful comment in which she said killing President Trump would be akin to putting down a “rabid dog.”

“By no way, shape, or form does this town board or supervisor condone this type of behavior. The comments are made from an individual. The rest of the board does not approve of it. We are exploring more options for repercussions. We hope that the rest of the county, state, and nation knows that the Town of Potsdam does not condone this form of hate speech,” Miller said of Paige’s conduct.
