On President Trump’s Hero’s Welcome at the GOP Convention:

What an amazing event to see President Trump with the hero’s welcome that he deserved. The American people are pulling for him. And just the strength and fortitude- and God was looking down on President Trump. There is no question about that. And I just think this is an opportunity and the President has talked about how this is a unifying moment for America and he is delivering that leadership. So it was inspiring yesterday, Lara. I hate to say that after the horrifying, horrifying, scary news, it was so inspiring to see him walk onto this convention floor and just excited for his leadership that he’s going to bring back to the Oval Office. And those of us that know President Trump – you know him as family – we know him as colleagues and friends. We were praying for him, pulling for him. I was so honored to speak with him on Sunday morning. And just, we are pulling for him and so proud of him. So proud that he is the leader of our party and the leader of our country.

On President Trump’s Selection of J.D. Vance for Vice President:

I think it’s an inspired choice, and I think that you saw the rallying behind Senator J.D. Vance. And this is the growing Republican Party under President Trump’s leadership. And what I love about J.D. Vance is his personal story. Look at the humble beginnings that he came from, only in America. Only in America is that achievable. And we want to save that American Dream, so he epitomizes that. I also think that politically, he will be a very strong campaigner in key states. He did it in Ohio. That’s going to be very important in Pennsylvania, in Michigan, right here in Wisconsin. So people are excited about this pick. We’re excited about, you said, it’s the most unifying convention. I feel that as well. This is the most unified the Republican Party has been in a generation, so it’s exciting for the country, and I’m excited for the Vance family, and I think it was a pick by Donald Trump’s gut, and I’m very proud to support and campaign with this ticket.

On President Trump’s Growing Support in New York:

We’re seeing that in the polling in states like New York, you and I’ve talked a lot about this. President Trump, I think will be the first Republican presidential candidate that is putting New York in play. I think he can win New York. He is polling ahead in every single swing district. These are districts that Joe Biden won by 15, 17 points. Donald Trump is up by 10 points in those districts. There is a seismic shift. You touched upon it. Historic support among African American voters, Hispanic voters, and I think moms who are concerned about their kids’ safety, concerned about their kids’ education. This is a growing party, and this has been President Trump’s vision.
