New York’s Republican Delegates have elected North Country Congresswoman Elise Stefanik as their chair ahead of the 2024 Republican National Convention. North Country Now reports that their decision was unanimous.
The convention is set for next month in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. New York’s 91 delegates will support former president Donald Trump, who is likely to receive and accept the party’s nomination.
Stefanik is currently in the midst of a re-election campaign and is reportedly being considered as Trump’s running mate.
