House Republican Conference Chairwoman Elise Stefanik received the ‘Jack Kemp Leadership Award’ presented by the New York Republican State Committee at its annual gala in New York City on Thursday night. The ‘Jack Kemp Leadership Award’ is the highest award given by the New York Republican Party. Chairwoman Stefanik joined Texas Governor Greg Abbott, Lee Zeldin, and RNC Chairman Michael Whatley in addressing the over 500 attendees.

According to the Jack Camp Foundation, the Kemp Leadership Award recognizes that individual who has shown exceptional leadership in public policy or private enterprise in advancing the American Idea.

Below is a transcript of some of the remarks made by Congresswoman Stefanik:

“I am truly humbled by this extraordinary honor of receiving the Jack Kemp Award by the New York GOP.

“Jack Kemp was an iconic leader in our great state who was known as the quintessential Happy Warrior who advocated for hardworking families, economic opportunity, and strengthening the American Dream.

“I have gotten to know Jimmy Kemp over the years and am grateful for his family’s work to continue Jack Kemp’s legacy.”
