State Senator Mark Walczyk announced Friday that he is endorsing Congresswoman Elise Stefanik, Chair of the GOP House Conference, in her bid for reelection to Congress for New York’s 21st Congressional District.

“First elected in 2014, Congresswoman Stefanik has been a fierce advocate for New York’s 21st Congressional District,” Walczyk said.

“She’s fought tirelessly for Ft. Drum and military families, stood up for New Yorkers in Washington DC and pushed back against out-of-touch policy,” Walczyk continued. “Just some of the things Congresswoman Stefanik has done during this current congressional session include securing $112,522,347 in grants for NY-21, totaling over $775 million returned to the district since her first term in office, and codifying the service-member Parents Bill of Rights so parents know their child’s classroom curriculum.

Walczyk said Congresswoman Stefanik is the definition of a public servant. She cares about the issues and is always ready to stand up for what is right. There’s zero question in my mind that she’s the fighter we need in DC. She’s not afraid to be a check and question policy that is bad for our nation. I fully endorse Congresswoman Stefanik and look forward to continuing to work alongside her.”
