GLENS FALLS, N.Y.— Today, following Far-Left Democrat Governor Kathy Hochul’s endorsement of NY-21 Democrat nominee Far-Left Downstate Democrat Matt Castelli, Senior Advisor to Congresswoman Elise Stefanik Alex DeGrasse released the following statement:

“On Saturday afternoon, Far-Left and corrupt Democrat Governor Kathy Hochul announced her endorsement of Far-Left Downstate Democrat Matt Castelli without a peep from Castelli himself. Far-Left Democrat from Poughkeepsie Matt Castelli is desperately hiding this politically toxic endorsement from North Country voters,” said Alex DeGrasseSenior Advisor to Congresswoman Elise Stefanik.

“Does Far-Left Downstate Democrat Matt Castelli think he can hide his public support of Kathy Hochul as well as Hochul’s endorsement, given that he has already supported her unconstitutional gun control legislation that is out of step with law-abiding North Country and Upstate New York gun owners? The local media and voters should ask Far-Left Downstate Matt Castelli if he formally accepts Hochul’s endorsement and every radical policy from Albany that hurts the North Country and Upstate New York.

Far-Left Downstate Democrat Matt Castelli is hiding Kathy Hochul’s endorsement from Upstate and North Country voters because he knows this district will elect Lee Zeldin at the top of the ticket in a landslide.

Congresswoman Elise Stefanik has publicly rolled out hundreds of endorsements from a record number of local elected officials including Democrats, Independents, Conservatives and Republicans. Team Elise looks forward to continuing to run proudly on the strong endorsements of law enforcement, local elected leaders, veterans, family farmers, and small businesses.”

In a June interview with WWNYTV, Castelli supported Governor Kathy Hochul’s new anti-Second Amendment legislation.

“Although not all New Yorkers agree with Governor Hochul’s new legislation, candidate for the state’s 21st congressional district Matt Castelli says that he could no longer just sit on the sidelines and do nothing in regard to what has been happening across the country.” “To pass legislation to actually address this challenge. Right now, there’s urgency in order to make sure we’re in a position to keep our kids and our community safe,” said Castelli.
