Here’s a quick update on the positive results our hardworking Congresswoman Elise Stefanik is achieving for the North Country this year.

In her role as Chairwoman of the House Armed Services Emerging Threats and Capabilities Subcommittee, Elise is demanding transparency and progress for missile defense, fighting for military spousal licensing, and leading the way toward the largest pay increase for our troops in 5 years. She’s also introduced legislation requiring reports on Fort Drum’s readiness in order to increase military preparedness. Elise’s work has helped ease the burden on military families, given our troops a well-deserved pay increase, and improved our national security on the whole.

Elise has also supported critical legislation benefitting students, rural hospitals, and North Country taxpayers. She continues to work tirelessly for NY-21, pushing for smart tax reform, an extension for the Perkins college loan program, and funding for Medicare-dependent, low-volume rural hospitals.
