Letter to the Editor: Consider Stefanik’s background in vote

I’m writing to express my support for the re-election of Elise Stefanik this fall. I’ve been impressed with her background, as well as her energy as a young congresswoman. But I also think it is important to continue the positive momentum in our economy created by tax and regulatory reform. She will support this most important priority, one which all other priorities require, in order to generate the tax revenues that come with higher employment and wages.

President Trump touched down at Fort Drum on Monday to sign the National Defense Authorization Act, the $716 billion defense spending bill which contains a 2.6 percent pay boost and significant increases in military equipment spending.
