Upstate residents are uniquely challenged in a number of significant areas, and on Nov. 8 voters in the 21st Congressional District have the opportunity to return a proven and tireless worker for the interests and well-being of North Country residents.

As the former chief of staff of the U.S. Army, I developed many lasting relationships with members of Congress. Congresswoman Elise Stefanik is one of these members.

Letter to the editor: Stefanik’s team helped in time of need
Early last spring I was involved with a matter with the administrative section of the Coast Guard, probably one of the most bureaucratic parts of the U.S. government. Numerous letters and emails were exchanged to try to resolve the matter which resulted in no progress, just a bad experience with the wall of government bureaucracy.
