As a veteran, I have seen how U.S. Rep. Elise Stefanik has been an advocate for the military and veterans as a member of the House Armed Services Committee.
One of the ways she has done this is by introducing HR 3989, the Support Our Military Caregivers Act. It is legislation to reform the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Caregiver Program to help family members caring for seriously wounded veterans.
Rep. Stefanik understands how hard it is to start a small business in upstate New York, as she grew up in a family-run small business, Premium Plywood Products. So she understands how regulations and mandates from the federal government only stifle economic growth and job creation.
