NBPC President Calls Stefanik “A True Border Security Champion”

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Thursday, September 8, 2022

GLENS FALLS, N.Y.– Today, the National Border Patrol Council once again endorsed Congresswoman Elise Stefanik for re-election to Congress. The National Border Patrol Council represents 18,000 Border Patrol Agents under the Department of Homeland Security. The Border Patrol promotes immigration laws and policies that support national security while opposing policies that hurt the sworn duties of Border Patrol Agents and put Americans at risk.

National Border Patrol Council (NBPC) President Brandon Judd issued the following statement:

“President Biden’s and House Democrats’ policies have created a crisis at our Southern Border and the worst surge in illegal immigration in our nation’s history. It is more important than ever for our leaders in Congress to support border security and the brave men and women in the U.S. Border Patrol.

Congresswoman Elise Stefanik, the House Republican Conference Chair, is precisely that type of leader and she is one of the most passionate supporters of the border security mission I have worked with.

Elise opposes policies that have been dangerous for our communities, such as sanctuary cities, licenses for illegal immigrants, and mass amnesty.

Congresswoman Stefanik has been a true border security champion for Upstate New York and the North Country. As Co-Chair of the Northern Border Caucus, she has a proven record of protecting all those in her district by working legislatively and behind the scenes to keep illegal drugs and dangerous criminals from flooding her community. Her work has undoubtedly saved lives. She has strong working relationships with all law enforcement in her district as evidenced by the number of events and discussions she’s had with them.

When the Biden Administration was caught transporting illegal immigrants from the southern border and dropping them off in New York State, Elise led the charge for answers and accountability. And when Republicans win control of Congress, Elise has pledged to lead the fight to secure our border and investigate and hold accountable the Biden officials who have put our country at clear risk.

Elise’s opponent is the exact opposite. Far-left Democrat Matt Castelli, a former Obama White House Staffer who worked under Susan Rice, has made clear that he would be a rubber stamp for Joe Biden’s and Nancy Pelosi’s radical policies that have created the worst border crisis in our nation’s history and allowed dangerous criminals and deadly illegal drugs to flow into our communities.

November’s election in NY-21 is a matter of safety and security for you and your family. With Elise’s strong record of supporting the goals of the National Border Patrol Council and standing up for our officers, Congresswoman Stefanik must be victorious again to protect American lives.

I am honored to announce that the National Border Patrol Council once again proudly endorses Congresswoman Stefanik’s re-election bid to represent NY-21 this November. Now more than ever America needs Elise Stefanik in Congress.”

President of the National Border Patrol Council Local 2724Brandon Budlongstated:

“As a NY-21 resident and Local Union president for a district along the northern border, I know that Elise has always understood just how important it is for border patrol agents to have the resources they need to protect border communities and all Americans. She has continued to work tirelessly on our behalf and has stood steadfast against dangerous policies that threaten the safety and security of all Americans.

Matt Castelli has made it clear that he is a rubber stamp for President Biden’s dangerous agenda. With the national security crisis at the southern border, it is critical to have a voice like Elise advocating for our northern border patrol families who are spending months away from home on detail in the south. Elise has always gone above and beyond to ensure all law enforcement, including the Border Patrol, have the resources we need to protect our communities and our homeland to keep America safe.”

Local 2266 President from the Swanton sector of our Northern borderSean Walshstated:

“I’ve worked with Congresswoman Elise Stefanik closely during her time in Congress, and I count our Border Patrol Agents lucky to have an advocate like Elise along the Northern Border. Elise understands the serious threats and challenges that our agents face in our work to protect our citizens at the northern border and at our southern border as well.

Standing by Elise after she consistently stands by us isn’t just a no-brainer, it’s a necessity to protect the rule of law and our communities. There could be no greater voice for Upstate New York and North Country families, Border Patrol, and all law enforcement than Elise Stefanik. She has our complete and total support in her re-election to defeat a Downstate Democrat who would be just another rubber stamp on the Far-Left’s radical agenda.”

Congresswoman Elise Stefanikstated:

“I am extremely proud to have earned the endorsement of the National Border Patrol Council, and I thank their 18,000 members for once again recognizing my leadership to help ensure our Border Patrol agents have the resources they need to keep our communities safe.

Joe Biden’s open-border policies created the worst border crisis in American history.Since Joe Bidentook office, over 3 million immigrants have been encountered attempting to enter our country illegally, and deadly drugs likefentanyl have fueled the opioid crisis and devastated communities.Supporting our brave Border Patrol agentshas never been more vital to the security of NY-21 families and all Americans.

As the Co-Chair of the Northern Border Caucus, I will continue to be a leadingvoiceagainst Biden and Far-Left Democrats’ dangerous open-border policies andwork to ensure that our brave Border Patrol agents have the resources they need.”
