CANTON – The Community Health Center of the North Country in Canton has received its second round award of $328,104 through the Federal Communications Commission’s COVID-19 Telehealth Program.

“Our community health centers provide essential services to meet the needs of the North Country’s rural residents,” Congresswoman Elise Stefanik said. “I am proud to help deliver this critical telehealth funding, so even the most remote patients can access the healthcare services they need. Now, these taxpayer dollars are returning to our district to expand the resources of the Community Health Center of the North Country through telehealth.”

This award will support the purchase of telemedicine video conferencing equipment, telemedicine carts, and remote patient monitoring equipment to provide behavioral health, dietary, and medication counseling to developmentally disabled residents, as well as behavioral health and primary care services.
