Washington, D.C.—Today,The Trey Gowdy Podcast, hosted by formerCongressman Trey Gowdy, released a personal, one-on-one interview with GOP House Conference Chair Elise Stefanik. Stefanik discusses her path to becoming the youngest woman elected to Congress, her role as House Conference Chair, Joe Biden and Democrats’ disastrous policies, motherhood, and more.

Elise Stefanik on running for office:

“I took a different path I think than most young women, and I hope I can serve as a role model for other women who maybe want to get involved in their communities and feel the courage to run for office.”

Elise Stefanik on her first campaign:

“I would drive 5 hours in the snow to meet with, you know, 10 people… Not a lot of people took me seriously in Washington, but I am so grateful for the support of those voters who to this day will say to me, ‘I was with you in your 2014 primary’… it’s an honor every day to represent them.”

Elise Stefanik on Biden and Democrats’ agenda:

“…We are working on opposing the 5.5 trillion dollar tax-and-spend package that Democrats are trying to ram through. We’re making sure that the American people know that there are very, very Far-Left policies that would irreparably change this country.”

Elise Stefanik on balancing life as a working mom:

“We are working through it just like lots of other families across this country. We do have the support system of our family, both my parents are supportive in ways they can as well as my husband’s parents. And then I do want to credit my husband. It is a team effort…

But you know what Trey, I’ve realized being a mom has already made me a better Congresswoman.”
