Saratoga: Today, the International Union of Police Associations, AFL-CIO endorsed Congresswoman Elise Stefanik for re-election. Both active and retired law enforcement officers in the I.U.P.A. fight to improve the lives of their brothers and sisters in law enforcement by improving legislation that protects public safety officers and by representing the needs of the officers and support personnel. The I.U.P.A. represents over 100,000 officers.

“Your long demonstrated advocacy for the men and women in Law Enforcement has marked your tenure in the House of Representatives,” said Sam A. Cabral, International President. “As Law Enforcement Officers face the greatest challenges in anyone’s memory, they have been largely abandoned by political leaders at all levels of government. Someone who has the courage to stand beside them as they attempt to bring peace and security to the people they serve is paramount, noticed, and appreciated. You have been one of those representatives. We look forward to working with you and your campaign to return you to Congress where you can continue your support.”

“It is a true honor to be endorsed by the International Union of Police Associations, AFL-CIO, for re-election to Congress,” said Congresswoman Stefanik. “The members of the I.U.P.A. know I am the candidate in this race who has the courage to stand up for our great law enforcement officers here in the North Country and across America. I’m grateful for the support of the I.U.P.A. and will continue to work with them in my next term in Congress to fight for protections for law enforcement officers.I will always Back the Blue!”
