Saratoga: The NRA Political Victory Fund has announced that Congresswoman Elise Stefanik has earned an “A+” rating, giving her the highest rating in the New York Congressional Delegation. Tedra Cobb has once again received an “F” rating, the lowest in North Country history. Stefanik’s predecessor, Democrat Bill Owens, received an “A” rating during his time in Congress. Cobb is on the record supporting an assault weapons ban and saying she would lie to voters about it.

Both the NRA and New York State Rifle and Pistol Association (NYSRPA) have endorsed Congresswoman Stefanik for re-election.

“I have known Elise since she first ran for Congress,” said Tom King, Executive Director of the New York State Rifle & Pistol Association. “She has always kept her promise to North Country voters to fight to protect and uphold the United States Constitution. She is New York’s strongest defender of the Second Amendment in Congress, and she has earned an A+ rating for going above and beyond to protect our Second Amendment rights. Elise has never wavered on her positions, and she led the effort to pass concealed carry reciprocity in the House of Representatives.

“For the North Country’s tens of thousands of legal, law-abiding gun owners and supporters, the choice couldn’t be clearer. Elise Stefanik has an ‘A+’ rating, while her opponent, Tedra Cobb, earned an ‘F’ – the lowest rating ever for a North Country Congressional candidate. Taxin’ Tedra said in her own words: ‘I think they should be banned,’ and she’s tried to lie about it, even admitting on video that she takes marching orders from Far-Left groups that support confiscating guns. We know that she would help Washington and Albany Democrats in their assault on our Second Amendment rights. The North Country needs Elise Stefanik to protect our constitutional rights.”

“From day one in office serving the North Country, I have been a stalwart supporter of law-abiding gun owners and the right to bear arms guaranteed by the Second Amendment,” said Congresswoman Stefanik. “I am very proud to receive an A+ rating from the NRA and NYSRPA — the highest rating in the New York Congressional Delegation. North Country gun owners know I am the only candidate in this race who will protect their Second Amendment rights afforded to them and guaranteed by the Constitution.

“My opponent, Taxin’ Tedra Cobb, has once again earned an F rating from the NRA — the lowest in North Country history. Even Democrat Bill Owens earned an A rating, because he understood how important the Second Amendment is to our district. This goes to show how embarrassingly out of touch Taxin’ Tedra is with North Country voters.

“Taxin’ Tedra’s F rating comes as no surprise. She is on the record supporting an assault weapons ban and on the record saying she would lie to voters about it in order to win. This is a completely untenable and unacceptable position to hold in this district. Even Taxin’ Tedra knows how out of step her radical, Far-Left positions are with the North Country.”
