Saratoga, NY: Today, Elise for Congress released the 4th Result in the campaign’s 100 Days, 100 Results program highlighting 100 of the critical wins that Congresswoman Elise Stefanik has delivered to the North Country.

“I successfully fought to ensure that seniors receiving Social Security would not have to file an additional tax return to receive their stimulus check,” said Congresswoman Stefanik. “This was an important win to ensure that our seniors received the support they needed during the COVID-19 pandemic without unnecessary bureaucratic paperwork.”

You can view this result here.

Elise personally called for the IRS to ensure that seniors would not be required to file a tax return before they received their stimulus check from the CARES Act that she helped pass in Congress. The North Country has one of the largest constituencies of seniors in the entire country, and many of them do not file tax returns because their main source of income is Social Security. Thanks to Elise, our seniors were able to receive clarity and confidence from the U.S. Treasury during this difficult time.

Elise for Congress will release a new Result each day through the November 3rd election to highlight the campaign’s laser focus on Real Results for the North Country.
