PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. — U.S. Rep. Elise Stefanik was in the North Country Thursday to accept an award.
A representative from the United States Chamber of Commerce was there to represent Stefanik with the Spirit of Enterprise award for her record on pro-jobs and pro-growth policies during the first session of the 114th Congress.
Stefanik said keeping jobs in the North Country has always been a top priority.
“Much of the important work that I’ve done so far has been to expand economic opportunity and to help truly create a business climate where you the job creators can thrive and grow right here at home,” she said.
The chamber’s Spirit of Enterprise award is given annually to members of Congress based on their votes on critical business legislation.
